Freedom Delivered

It always makes me happy when I can give you good news!  There are so many times when we see such incredible poverty in Uganda.

But when we know that we've been able to make a difference it's cause for celebration, and that difference is because of you.

The other day I was listening to a webinar on fundraising, because of course that is how I spend a lot of my time!  The speaker was reminding us to stop and celebrate our successes.  That was a good reminder for me because there are so many children in need, and I often feel like I'm falling short.

You, our donors, have made so much possible!

I want you to take the time to celebrate the difference you are making for the children and people we serve.

Back in March, I wrote about period poverty and our goal to get 400 period supply kits to 400 girls. Recently, 125 girls attended reproductive health classes held by our Kapida advisors, Betty, Annette, & Hilda.

Each girl received a period supply kit with reusable pads.  The girls were so happy for both the information and the supplies.  They also received a certificate of attendance that they were very proud of!

The bags the girls are holding up in the photos represent health, dignity, and freedom.  It means they don't have to miss school!

This is all because of you, our donors!  This is an incredible long-term impact!  Without you, we could not continue to provide help to those in need.

Period poverty is an issue that affects millions of girls in the world.  I know it's not a topic a lot of people feel comfortable talking or reading about, so thanks for sticking with me!

Helping forgotten teen girls be safe, seen, and successful is one of the best ways we are helping break the cycle of poverty.

We'll continue to bring the classes and supplies to as many girls as we can in rural Uganda.  This is just one of the many ways your donations make a difference for others!

 With Gratitude,

Mary

P.S.- I know I use a lot of exclamation marks in my emails to you. But you deserve them and we are all overwhelmed by your generosity.  The next time someone asks you what's new, brag on yourself a bit and tell them how you are helping lift children out of poverty through your donations to CLP!
