Our Top Ten
What a year it's been! We're excited to share our Top 10 Moments of the Year with you—moments that reflect what we've accomplished and built together.
This isn't just our story; it's yours. So as you read through, we hope you'll see yourself in these moments and know how deeply grateful we are for your support. Celebrate with us, and dream bigger for what's ahead in 2025!
1. This year your donations impacted the lives of more children than ever before! Seven women's savings and business groups now have over 375 members who work together to support and educate their children! This is how you make sustainable change for 1000+ children!
2. We had our first-ever Live from Uganda Google Meet with donors. Our team members were live from 5 different locations showing our programs and a look into life in Kamuli, Uganda.
3. Our Kisa Kyamukama women's craft group got their start this year, thanks to your donations. These women are now making and selling their baskets, mats, and other products and supporting their children.
4. One of our most unforgettable moments was when Rehemah received her wheelchair! We will never forget the pure joy of both her and her friends. Thanks to you she is now going to school.
5. Our Connecting Cultures program brought together 5th-grade students in Vermont with Primary 5 students in Uganda. They met throughout the year by video and exchanged letters several times. The students at Hinesburg Community School raised $1200 with their Penny War and helped several children get an education! We love seeing these future leaders expand their view of the world and what's possible.
6. All of you made so much happen! We're sending a special shoutout to Patrica H., who funded an overlock sewing machine at our girls' vocational center, enabling hundreds of girls to get reusable pads. Patricia also consulted with us to ensure Rehamah had a wheelchair that fit her size. Thank you Patricia for everything you do!
7. The building of two new school gardens improved the nutrition of 700 children, helping them grow and learn. Over 400 trees were planted at the schools and in the surrounding communities!
8. Our team in Uganda came together and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver the programs and services that improved life for hundreds of children and their families. All of us meeting in person for the first time since the pandemic was incredible and allowed us to review our progress and plan for 2025
9. Thanks to The Small Town Social in Pinehurst, NC we were the sponsored charity at their GlowCon women's personal development conference in March. They raised $2700 and helped provide period supplies and reproductive health counseling to 200+ girls.
10. Your donations saved the lives of Andrew, Benaletta, and Phiona. These three children had life-threatening illnesses and with your help, our team members in Uganda were able to bring them to the hospital and get the treatment they needed to survive. Their mothers are forever grateful for your kindness and love.
You did it. We did it. This year proved what's possible when we combine vision with action. We pushed limits, exceeded expectations, and laid the foundation for what's next.
But the story doesn't stop here. In 2025 we're setting our sights even higher. Will you join us in making it our most impactful year yet?
Here's to building a legacy of change, one step at a time. Let's make it happen!
With Gratitude and Determination,
Mary
