Shoes, Seeds, & Shopping Bags

It's been a busy week for our team in Uganda as they deliver supplies to the communities, and that is all thanks to you!

Joy, Mary, and Jennifer needed shoes and bookbags to continue attending school. Yesterday, Betty took them shopping, and now they have backpacks and, most importantly, shoes.

The rainy season has been more intense this year, and walking to school in the mud, and trying to keep books dry was quite a challenge for the girls.

Milly is a single mom struggling to provide food for her children. This week, food was delivered to the family along with seeds and seedlings.  Our team is helping create a kitchen garden that will eventually provide a consistent food supply.

We are always working on a sustainable solution so that people can live without aid.

Our Buwudha Girl's Vocational Center was very busy this week as the girls are working on an order of reusable shopping bags. I'll be bringing these back to the U.S. when I travel to Uganda next month.  A donor and businesswoman in North Carolina will be using these for her customers!

The girls are thrilled with this project that is helping fund the tailoring program and giving them a little income.

Thank you all for making an incredible difference in the lives of people you've never met! Each day they ask that I give their thanks to you.

With Gratitude,

Mary

P.S.-  If you're feeling inspired, you are welcome to pass this blog post along to friends and family!  We'd love to introduce more people to CLP and we could use your help!
